What Your Trainees Get

Present, oral or poster

A national stage for their work, in the lecture hall or the poster hall. Every abstract is marked against a published rubric, with a decision within five days of submitting.

An evidence letter by 16 November

Presenters receive a letter confirming what they presented and when, issued by 16 November 2026 at 16:00.

A CPD certificate

The day is CPD accredited by CPD England for 6 hours.

Prizes

Prizes for the best presentations, awarded at the close of the day.

Funding Your Trainees’ Places

Most trainees can claim NMERC through the study budget process they already use. This is what a study budget lead usually needs.

No rota cover needed

It runs online on a Saturday, so trainees apply for the ticket cost only, with no study leave days.

Presenting counts

Trainees can claim to present their own work. In some regions this is one of the few routes open to F1 doctors, who otherwise have no discretionary study budget.

The evidence

The programme, price and 6-hour CPD England accreditation are published now. Trainees get an order confirmation when they book, then a CPD certificate and, for presenters, an evidence letter by 16 November.

Approval first

Most regions refuse claims made after payment, so trainees should get written approval before booking. Scotland is the main exception.
