Anaesthetic and ICM training is built around one-to-one teaching and simulation, and you will be expected to supervise and teach throughout. Formal training in teaching demonstrates that you have developed these skills deliberately — valuable for ARCP, for educational roles, and for your longer-term consultant portfolio.
A note on points: how teaching is scored depends on the specialty and recruitment year, and a course is not always directly points-scoring for anaesthetics in the way it is for some specialties.
